Our Year 5/6 classroom is a positive, energetic, and engaging learning space where students feel supported, challenged, and valued.

We focus on building strong routines, fostering independence, and encouraging students to take ownership of their learning.

Throughout the week, students engage in rich literacy and numeracy lessons that build essential skills through guided practice, targeted teaching, and collaborative tasks. Inquiry learning plays an important role, allowing students to explore big questions, conduct research, and make meaningful connections across the curriculum.

We also prioritise critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving, encouraging students to take risks, reflect on their progress, and celebrate their growth. Overall, our classroom is a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student is motivated to do their best and develop the skills they need for future success.

Our Grade 3-6 students engage in a comprehensive, core literacy curriculum covering the Science of Learning and engage in the Phormes Spelling Program.
