At our school we are proud to be part of the Victorian Government’s Mental Health in Primary Schools program, which ensures every government in Victoria has a dedicated Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader.

This teacher works across the school community to embed a school-wide culture of mental health and wellbeing. Through evidence-based training and ongoing professional development (in collaboration with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and the University of Melbourne), our staff are equipped to recognise early signs of mental health and wellbeing concerns, deliver supportive programs in the classroom, and coordinate clear referral pathways to external services when needed.

By fostering connection, resilience and open communication, this initiative supports every child’s emotional and social growth, helping them thrive both at school and beyond the classroom.
