At Colac West Primary School, our small class sizes (averaging 16-20 students per class) allow us to provide personalised, high quality learning experiences. Every class is further supported by a teacher aide, ensuring that each child receives targeted guidance and attention throughout the school day.

We offer comprehensive intervention to support student growth at all levels, including a tutoring intervention program. Our commitment to explicit teaching and evidence-based practices ensures every child is supported to reach their full potential.

We draw on the Science of Learning to shape how we teach, using approaches proven to help students understand, retain, and apply knowledge. At the same time, through Ochre Education, we provide access to high-quality, curriculum-aligned, evidence-based teaching resources and professional learning.
